  I have used this firm many times but they are now withholding almost €1000 deposit with no correspondence whatsoever, three weeks over the 25 days terms and conditions. I will be passing this onto my credit card company, insurer and start legal proceedings in Spain.

  waited an hour to be picked up from the airport despite ringing twice. they finally picked us up and took us to the office and promptly told us "we have no cars" despite being booked 2 months in advance. There was no apology or remorse. we were told "its high season what do you expect?" luckily Argus car hire re booked with enterprise who were fantastic. but still lost 5 hours holiday time thanks to Dickmanns.

  Everything went hassle free. No hidden charges, swift service and a perfectly functioning car. Maybe it was due to the fact that it was mid October, but at this time of year at least I would do it again.

  I rented with this company previously with no problems. The car had a lot of scratches, but I wasn't bothered. I don't have a credit card, but they gave me no hassle putting down the deposit with my debit card... however this time they wouldn't accept my debit card for the deposit, and were extremely unhelpful. I asked for a solution, but no help. Very unhappy

  After returning the car they read and recorded the mileage and gas, checked and signed the paperwork and dropped me back at the airport within 10 mins.

  A very pleasant experience with Dickmanns car hire at Valencia. I had looked online with sites like doyouspain but after doing a bit of research discovered that the insurance they offered to avoid the excess was separate to Dickmanns and a money maker for the middle men so avoid this trick! It worked out cheaper for me to go directly through to Dickmanns website and hire from there. I was worried about the blocking off funds on my credit card never to see it again so paid the daily insurance on my debit card which was pretty reasonable for a week. The car was a very new and clean Ford Fiesta with 24k on the clock and a free full tank of gas to be returned full. The staff were typical Spanish and relaxed about the whole thing.

  Now 20th October 80 days since car returned and no correspondence whatsoever from Dickmanns, they owe me €1000
